Purpose

The purpose of this qualification is to provide learners with the knowledge, skills and motivation to encourage entrepreneurial success in a variety of settings in order to gain actualization in self-employment.Students need knowledge of entrepreneurship in order to prepare them to be successful in a 21st century global economy. We live in a world in which the future is uncertain, so students need skills that will allow them to make their own way. The world needs students who are willing to make a difference.

Learning Outcomes:

Holders of this qualification will be able to:

• Manage people, processes, and resources within a small business organization.
• Apply knowledge of leadership concepts in an integrated manner.
• Analyze the internal/external factors affecting a business/organization to evaluate business opportunities.
• Communicate effectively in writing and orally.
• Develop and implement a business idea/model/plan
• Market the business successfully

Offering Type

Three weeks of block training at the Rock Lodge and self-study.

Duration of the study

The duration of the Certificate in Entrepreneurship will be a minimum of one year and maximum of two years from the first day of registration.
